Atlassian has announced changes to its cloud list pricing, effective October 13, 2026. The changes reach Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management and Service Collection, Bitbucket, Jira Product Discovery, Atlassian Guard, Teamwork Collection, and Atlassian Government Cloud.

Increases run from 3% to 10%, depending on the product, the edition, and in several cases how many seats you hold.

New list prices take effect on October 13. For customers with qualifying transactions, October 12 is the last practical day to request or preserve a quote at current pricing.

Atlassian Cloud Pricing Changes at a Glance:

  • Effective date: October 13, 2026, at 12:00 AM PT
  • Typical increase: 3% to 10%, depending on product, plan, and user count
  • Largest increases: 10% for Jira Service Management and Service Collection Enterprise, Bitbucket Premium, and Jira, Confluence, or Teamwork Collection Standard and Premium above 5,000 seats
  • Action deadline: Confirm whether you can request or preserve an eligible quote before October 12
  • Also changing: Japanese yen pricing for Cloud apps and Data Center, by approximately 7.3%

Atlassian’s quote, renewal, and extension rules are date- and subscription-specific. Confirm how they apply to your subscription before relying on an open quote to preserve current pricing.

Why is Atlassian Changing Prices in 2026?

Atlassian adjusts list pricing periodically and ties those adjustments to what it has shipped. This year the company points to four areas of investment:

  • The Teamwork Graph, which Atlassian says now maps more than 150 billion objects and relationships, with new ways to reach that context from outside Atlassian through a CLI, a Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, and the Forge Connector
  • AI agents that take action inside workflows rather than sitting beside them, in Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management
  • Service Collection, which brings Jira Service Management, Assets, and the new Customer Service Management app under one roof
  • Platform and compliance work, including new data residency options, SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards, new tiers for scale, and added observability

Jira Product Discovery joins the list of adjusted products this year. Bitbucket Standard pricing is unchanged, and Bitbucket Premium drops its five-user minimum.

Key Dates

Important: Atlassian’s quote, renewal, and extension rules vary by transaction type, subscription, and date. Confirm the rules that apply to your environment before relying on an open quote to preserve current pricing.

  • August 28, 2026: Initial customer notification email, sent to billing admin contact
  • September 29, 2026: Reminder email, restating the original notice
  • October 13, 2026: New pricing takes effect at 12:00 AM PT

Important for open quotes and renewals:

  • October 12, 2026 is the last day a quote can be generated at current pricing.
  • Editing the line items on an existing quote after that date recalculates it at the new pricing.
  • Any change to a cloud site, including activating or deactivating licenses or trials, automatically deletes an open quote. A replacement created after October 12 carries the new pricing.
  • Extension options exist and differ by quote type. New purchases and upgrades follow one policy, renewals and downgrades another, and renewal extensions are approved case by case rather than automatically. We’re glad to check a specific quote for you.

Atlassian is also asking customers to request quotes several days early, given the volume it expects in the run-up.

Which Customers Will Be Impacted?

Any Atlassian Cloud customer with a new purchase, renewal, or upgrade on or after October 13, 2026. The size of the increase depends on your plan, products, and seat count. These groups will feel it most:

  • Organizations near 5,000 seats. Jira, Confluence, and Teamwork Collection Standard and Premium increase 7% below 5,000 seats and 10% at 5,000 and above.
  • Customers coming off a multi-year agreement or discounted plan. Renewals are priced at the new list rate, so the increase can be larger than the headline percentage. Custom-negotiated agreements follow their own terms.
  • Government Cloud customers with an active FedRAMP license.

Not impacted: Enterprise License Agreement customers. Academic and Community discounts are unchanged, and Marketplace app pricing is set by each developer.

What the Higher Price Funds

Atlassian ties the October 2026 list-price changes to investment in AI, connected organizational context, service management, security, compliance, and Cloud scale. Those investments may be meaningful, but their value depends on whether your organization can use them in practice.

ProductCapabilities Atlassian is emphasizingRenewal question
Jira and ConfluenceRovo-supported content and work creation, workflow agents, and collaboration featuresAre teams using the AI and workflow capabilities included in the editions you pay for?
Jira Service Management / Service CollectionCustomer service, assets, operations, and agent-led service workflowsIs the current service-management structure still aligned to how IT and business teams provide support?
BitbucketPackage management, merge queues, and AI-client access through MCPAre development teams using the Premium capabilities behind the increase?
Atlassian GuardClassification, security policies, detection content, scanning, and SIEM integrationIs the organization using the security and governance features that justify its Guard tier?
Jira Product DiscoveryConfiguration reuse, hierarchy, and portfolio-style viewsDoes the product-discovery setup reflect how strategy and delivery teams make decisions?

Most of this runs on the Teamwork Graph underneath it, which is how Atlassian connects work, people, and context so agents have something accurate to act on. That has a practical consequence. What these agents produce tracks the structure and knowledge already sitting in your platform. AI doesn’t repair disorganized information. It makes the state of it visible.

How E7 Solutions Can Help You Optimize Your Atlassian Investment

Atlassian’s new Cloud list prices take effect October 13, 2026. Renewals, new purchases, and upgrades after that date are priced at the new rates. Quotes generated before then are honored until they expire.

That gives you about four weeks. As an Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner, this is the work our License Specialists do every day. Here’s how we help.

  1. Get quotes in before the change. Your Account Manager and License Specialist will identify which subscriptions renew in the coming months and get quotes generated at current pricing while that option is still open.
  2. Pay for what you actually use. Our license assessment compares seat counts, editions, and Marketplace app spend against how your teams really use them. If you’re close to 5,000 seats, where the increase for Jira and Confluence moves from 7% to 10%, that’s worth a conversation now.
  3. Let us negotiate for you. We work directly with Atlassian and app vendors to get you the best pricing available, and we can co-term your subscriptions so everything renews on one schedule, with NET terms invoicing.
  4. Stay ahead of the next one. Quarterly Insight reports show where your Atlassian spend stands, so next year’s price change isn’t a surprise. And if the assessment shows your environment no longer fits how your teams work, our Advisory and Managed Services teams can help with that too.
